PZ Cussons joins the UK Packaging Pact as a founding signatory
PZ Cussons has joined the UK Packaging Pact as a founding signatory, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating the transition to a more circular and sustainable packaging system in the UK.
Led by WRAP, the UK Packaging Pact brings together businesses from across the packaging value chain to tackle shared challenges that no single organisation can solve alone. The initiative sets out a ten-year, action-focused roadmap to reduce packaging waste, increase circularity and unlock investment in reuse, recycling infrastructure and data harmonisation.
As a founding signatory, PZ Cussons will collaborate with peers, policymakers and industry partners to help drive practical solutions across four core goals: optimising packaging design, scaling reuse and refill models, supporting circular infrastructure investment, and simplifying and aligning packaging data. This collective approach is designed to ensure packaging placed on the UK market works better for people, businesses and the planet.
Joining the Pact supports PZ Cussons’ broader sustainability ambitions, including reducing virgin plastic use, increasing packaging recyclability and preparing for evolving regulations.
Through participation in the UK Packaging Pact, the company aims to contribute to system-wide change while continuing to innovate across its brands and packaging portfolio.
Sharon Goodall, our Global Director of R&D and Sustainability, attended the launch event last week and spoke to fellow signatories about the importance of driving progress in recyclability. Commenting on the launch event, she said: “Progress is made when people come together. The energy and diversity in the room was a real strength, and I have every confidence that the industry can work together and move faster on the path to transform the UK’s packaging system.”
